Kyle Walker will not face criminal charges following the conclusion of a police investigation into an alleged incident at a bar in Wilmslow on March 8.

Police made enquiries, which involved speaking to those involved, after a video emerged on social media earlier this month.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary told Sky Sports News: “A 32-year-old man from Prestbury voluntarily attended a police station for questioning on 16 March. He has been dealt with by an out of court disposal and the matter is now closed.”

Walker has not commented on the situation since it was reported and his club Manchester City consider the alleged incident to be a private matter.

City boss Pep Guardiola repeated this stance when asked about Walker in a press conference earlier this month.

“It’s a private issue,” Guardiola said. “We solve it internally and we speak with him. This is not the place to talk about private situations.”
