Chelsea can make it four wins in a row across all competitions with another victory at home against an Everton team battling relegation and with only one away win all season.
Graham Potter’s side looks to have turned a corner with victories against Leeds United and Leicester City sandwiching a key UEFA Champions League win that carried them into the quarter finals, where they will face Real Madrid in April.
But Chelsea are still more than 10 points away from the top four and assuring themselves a place in the Champions League next season. All they can do is to keep winning and hope the likes of Tottenham, Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Brighton & Hove Albion fall off the pace.
As for Everton, any point is golden at this juncture of the season when they sit just one point above the relegation zone. The Toffees have looked sturdier under new manager Sean Dyche, but goals have been tough to come by without their top scorer.
